1. Nepal has an open border with India, and the border markings are not perfect, and there are no obvious national border markings in some areas. Nepal and India are mutually exempt from visas. Citizens of Nepal and India can travel freely, but Chinese citizens must hold a valid Indian visa when traveling to India.
2. Chinese citizens in Nepal must pay close attention to avoid entering India by mistake in the Nepal-India border area. When engaging in tourism, business and other activities on the Nepal side of the Nepal-India border area, please be sure to pay attention to the national boundary signs between Nepal and India to avoid unnecessary legal consequences and personal losses from entering India due to personal negligence, trusting the guidance of others, or luck without holding an Indian visa.
3. India imposes severe penalties on illegal immigrants. Even if they enter by mistake, they will be arrested and transferred to the judiciary. They will be sentenced to 2 to 8 years in prison and fines, and it is difficult to get bail. In addition, after entering India, Chinese citizens holding a valid Indian visa are not allowed to go to areas restricted for foreigners without official written permission from India; they must leave India within the validity period of the visa and must not overstay, otherwise they will bear all legal consequences.
