According to the WeChat official account of "Industry and Information Technology WeChat News", the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Development and Reform Commission recently issued a notice to deploy the cultivation of biomanufacturing pilot capacity building platform. It is proposed that by 2027, we will strive to cultivate more than 20 biomanufacturing pilot capacity building platforms, serve more than 200 enterprises, incubate more than 400 products, and strongly support the "small test certificate-pilot expansion-industrial application" that strongly supports innovative achievements.

The pilot platform refers to a comprehensive support platform that provides intermediate experiments during the transition from laboratory research and development stage to large-scale industrial production.

The focus of this cultivation focuses on various fields of biomanufacturing, and cultivates pilot platforms in key product fields such as food and additives, biopharmaceuticals, cosmetics, chemicals, energy, and enzyme preparations, and drives the collaborative innovation and development of upstream and downstream of the industrial chain.

The notice proposes that it will adhere to gradual cultivation and classified construction, and encourage national laboratories and national scientific and technological innovation platforms to build pilot capacity building platforms. Adhere to market leadership and demand guidance, and encourage the pilot platform to carry out paid services and achieve stable operations in accordance with market-oriented principles. Adhere to standardized guidance, safety and reliability, and enhance the platform's data security and biosecurity guarantee capabilities.
