Since April, as the temperature continues to rise, the spring sowing work in Aksu, Xinjiang has been fully launched. For a time, in the vast cotton fields on both sides of the Ta River, cotton farmers rely on highly mechanized equipment to seize the farming season in the cotton fields north and south of the Tianshan Mountains and carry out cotton sowing operations efficiently.
In the past two days, at the sowing site of the 1.4 million mu of cotton fields in Awati County, a large horsepower seeder equipped with the Beidou navigation system is operating in an orderly manner according to the pre-set mode, sowing, laying drip irrigation belts and coating them in one go. Compared with the traditional sowing methods, the use of unmanned seeding machines that integrate film coating, under-film drip irrigation belt laying, seeding and soil covering is not only accurate but also more efficient. In order to ensure the progress and quality of spring sowing, the local area actively organizes agricultural technicians to go deep into the fields to provide technical guidance to farmers.
It is understood that a total of 7.5 million mu of cotton are planted in Aksu area this year, and it has entered the sowing period one after another. It is expected that cotton sowing work will be completed by the end of April.
