During the 2025 11th Hainan Wenchang Nanyang Cultural Festival and the theme event of "Overseas Chinese" in Hainan Free Trade Port, overseas Chinese from 44 countries and regions gathered here to invest in new business opportunities in Wenchang.

"Wenchang, with its unique location advantages, aerospace industry foundation and overseas Chinese culture, is setting sail with the east wind of the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port with the attitude of "China's Aerospace City" and "Pearl of Overseas Chinese Hometown". Yun Haiqing also rode the closure of Hainan Free Trade Port and expanded opening up in 2025 to reach strategic cooperation with the Wenchang Municipal Government to launch the "Wenchang Coast City" project.

Yun Haiqing told China News Network reporters that the "Wenchang Coast City" project, which reached strategic cooperation, will focus on three core areas:

First, relying on the resource advantages of Wenchang International Aerospace City, it is planned to introduce industrial chain projects such as aerospace culture and tourism to promote the integrated development of the "aerospace +" industry and create an aerospace industry ecosystem.

The second is to build an international, forward-looking and representative high-quality enterprise headquarters base and high-quality entrepreneur mansion, and introduce well-known leading enterprises at home and abroad to settle in Wenchang.

The third is to rely on Wenchang's long coastline and cultural heritage of overseas Chinese hometown, we will plan and build coastal resorts and other facilities to create a "cultural tourism + health care + exhibition" complex to attract tourists from all over the world.

Unique genes give three core advantages

"We are both well versed in the rules and trends of the international market, and we always have a childish love for our hometown." Yun Haiqing said that this unique dual gene has given three core advantages to Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, overseas Chinese businessmen.

First, technology empowerment. In the wave of globalization, the Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese business groups have accumulated rich scientific and technological resources and innovative experience. For example, as the international financial and scientific and technological innovation center, Hong Kong has brought together the world's top scientific research teams and digital solutions, and these resources will become an important support for Wenchang's industrial upgrading.

Second, financial and financial communication. Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese business capital has global liquidity and a keen sense of market. In Yun Haiqing's view, Wenchang has a globally aerospace launch base, a fishing port culture that has been passed down for thousands of years, and the blood and affection of millions of overseas villagers. "I hope more overseas Chinese business organizations and enterprises will bring funds, projects, technology, and talents back to their hometown Wenchang, share policy dividends, and jointly build an industrial ecological chain."
