CCTV News: According to the official account of "Industry and Information Technology WeChat News", the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the operation of the electronic information manufacturing industry from January to February 2025.

From January to February, my country's electronic information manufacturing production grew rapidly, exports continued to rebound, efficiency declined, investment growth rate fell slightly, and the overall development trend of the industry was good.

Production grew rapidly

From January to February, the added value of electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size increased by 10.6% year-on-year, with growth rates of 4.7 and 1.5 percentage points higher than that of industrial and high-tech manufacturing industries in the same period.

In January-February, among the main products, the output of microcomputer equipment was 47 million units, a year-on-year increase of 7.2%; the output of mobile phones was 217 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 6.1%, of which 162 million units were smartphones, a year-on-year decrease of 6.8%; the output of integrated circuits was 76.7 billion units, a year-on-year increase of 4.4%.

Exports continued to rebound

From January to February, the cumulative export delivery value of electronic information manufacturing industries above designated size increased by 5.9% year-on-year, an increase of 3.7 percentage points from 2024.

According to customs statistics, from January to February, my country exported 22.23 million laptops, a year-on-year increase of 16.5%; exported 109 million mobile phones, a year-on-year decrease of 11.7%; exported 47.3 billion integrated circuits, a year-on-year increase of 20.1%.

Effectiveness declined

From January to February, the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size achieved operating income of 2.32 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.2%; operating costs of 2.06 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.6%; total profits achieved by 38.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 9.4%; operating income profit margin was 1.67%.

Investment growth rate fell slightly

From January to February, fixed asset investment in the electronic information manufacturing industry increased by 9.6% year-on-year, 2.4 percentage points lower than 2024, 1.9 percentage points lower than the growth rate of industrial investment in the same period, and 9.6 percentage points higher than the growth rate of high-tech manufacturing investment in the same period.

From January to February, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region of the scale of electronic information manufacturing industry achieved operating income of 148.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 27.9%, and revenue accounted for 6.4% of the country; the Yangtze River Delta region achieved operating income of 660.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.2%, and revenue accounted for 28.4% of the country.
