When the property contract was renewed recently, they took the initiative to negotiate with the property company and now the property fee can save 0.5 yuan per square meter per month. In Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone, the head of a property company said that among the six projects they serve in the district, 70% of the property fees have been reduced, and some of them are actively adjusted by the company.
According to incomplete statistics from the reporter, since 2024, property companies in more than 40 communities in Wuhan have announced a reduction in property fees, with an average price reduction of more than 20%, and most of them were negotiated by the owners and property companies. In addition, more than 100 projects in many cities including Qingdao and Chongqing have also achieved a reduction in property fees, with a decrease of generally between 10% and 35%.
Data from the China Index Academy shows that in December 2024, the comprehensive index of property service prices in 20 key cities across the country was 1,075.37, and the average property fee price was 2.72 yuan/square meter/month. Year-on-year, the property service price index in six cities including Wuhan, Nanchang, Qingdao, Chongqing, Nanjing and Changzhou fell, among which Wuhan and Nanchang fell by 0.72% and 0.47% year-on-year respectively, and Qingdao fell by 0.14% year-on-year.
