CCTV News: The Ministry of Commerce maintains close ties with foreign-funded enterprises because it performs its functions in foreign-funded investment management and services. Since the end of February this year, the head of the Ministry of Commerce has continued to meet with executives of multinational companies in intensive manner. As of March 29, there have been meetings with at least 26 multinational companies.
The reporter conducted a country source and industry composition analysis of these multinational enterprises and found that there are 15 American enterprises, accounting for more than half, involving technology, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, financial services, etc.; 5 German enterprises, mainly involving automobile manufacturing and chemical industry; 3 multinational enterprises in other European countries, and 3 multinational enterprises in the Asian, Middle East and South American markets.
From the perspective of the meeting content, "high-level opening up to the outside world", "stability", "innovation" and "supply chain" are high-frequency words. Lin Meng, director of the Modern Supply Chain Research Institute of the Ministry of Commerce Research Institute, said: "This fully reflects the industry's enthusiasm for the Chinese market. China continues to expand to a deeper and wider field in opening up to the outside world. China has further entered a new stage of high-quality economic development, which can provide multinational companies with more core, rich and diverse development resources. Some foreign-funded enterprises have reported that there is no problem in the world when new products or new business models are successfully applied and promoted in China, which highlights the necessity of the Chinese market."
Experts also said that with the continuous growth of Chinese companies, new competitive advantages in China's current supply chain have been formed in the process of cooperation with foreign-funded enterprises. Therefore, in the future-oriented strategic choice of foreign-funded enterprises, choosing China is the future of development.
