This is the first batch of civil unmanned aircraft carrying humans in the country, marking the official opening of the prologue of the "manned era" of China's low-altitude economy.
The two companies that obtained the certificate of conformity this time are: Guangdong Yihang General Aviation Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yihang Intelligent, and its joint venture operation company in Hefei Heyi Airlines Co., Ltd.
The civil unmanned aircraft operation certificate is used to confirm that the civil unmanned aircraft meets safe operation standards and operation requirements. The main enterprises holding the operation certificate can conduct commercial operations within the approved area, provide paid manned operation services, and carry out consumption scenarios related to low-altitude economy.
The issuance of the first batch of unmanned aircraft operating certificates for civilian vehicles will further promote the development of low-altitude economy and aviation culture and tourism. This means that citizens and consumers can purchase tickets at relevant operating points in Guangzhou and Hefei to experience low-altitude tours, city sightseeing and colorful commercial manned services.
The EH216-S unmanned human vehicle independently developed by Yihang Intelligent has previously obtained a model certificate, production license, and standard airworthiness certificate, and has completed more than 64,000 safe flights. The issuance of this operational certificate will promote the development of civil unmanned aircraft in areas such as manned low-altitude sightseeing and low-altitude flight experience.
