CCTV News: On March 29, local time, the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar announced that the Chinese rescue team had arrived in Myanmar to carry out earthquake rescue.
The Embassy stated that at around 16:00 local time on March 29, a rescue team sent by the Chinese government, a group of 82 people carried more than 20 tons of emergency rescue materials such as communications, search and rescue, medical equipment and emergency food, and arrived at Yangon International Airport for thousands of miles from Beijing.
Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Ma Jia arrived on the same plane with the rescue team, and Yangon Province Chief Minister Soden welcomed him at the airport. Ma Jia delivered a welcome speech to the rescue team, saying that the Chinese rescue team brought together top earthquake rescue experts and medical staff in China, had rich practical experience, and will go to Mandalay, the worst-hit disaster to participate in the rescue. I believe that the team members will fulfill their mission and complete the rescue mission successfully.
