Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun introduced the relevant arrangements for this visit at a regular press conference on the 28th.
Guo Jiakun said that China and Russia are comprehensive strategic cooperation partners in the new era. In recent years, under the guidance of the two heads of state's strategy, China and Russia have upheld the spirit of permanent good-neighborliness and friendship, comprehensive strategic cooperation, and mutually beneficial cooperation and win-win cooperation, continuously deepened "back-to-back" strategic cooperation, expanded practical cooperation in various fields, and made important contributions to promoting the respective development and revitalization of the two countries and safeguarding the basic norms of international relations.
Guo Jiakun said that during the visit, Foreign Minister Wang Yi will meet with the Russian leader and hold talks with Foreign Minister Lavrov. China is willing to take this visit as an opportunity to work with Russia to promote the implementation of the important consensus reached by the heads of state of the two countries, and communicate in-depth on the development of China-Russia relations in the next stage and international and regional issues of common concern to both sides.
