CCTV News: According to the website of the Ministry of Finance, as of the end of January 2025, the national local government debt balance was 480,131 billion yuan. Among them, general debt is 168069 billion yuan, special debt is 312062 billion yuan; government bonds are 478527 billion yuan, and existing government debt in the form of non-government bonds is 160.4 billion yuan.
As of the end of January 2025, the remaining average age of local government bonds was 9.8 years, including general bonds of 6.0 years and special bonds of 11.9 years; the average interest rate was 3.04%, of which general bonds were 3.10% and special bonds were 3.01%.
