Data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shows that from January to February 2025, my country's telecommunications business revenue reached a total of 295 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.9%. As of the end of February, the number of fixed Internet broadband users of the three basic telecommunications companies reached 675 million. Among them, the access rate of gigabit and above exceeded 214 million, accounting for 31.7% of the total number of users. There are 1.051 billion 5G mobile phone users, accounting for 58.6% of mobile phone users. The total number of 5G base stations reached 4.325 million, accounting for more than 30% of the total number of mobile base stations.
Zhang Lixian, director of the Institute of Strategic and Industrial Studies of China Mobile Think Tank, introduced that the overall development speed of my country's communications industry has returned to a relatively moderate level from the relatively medium-to-high-speed level in previous years, but the growth momentum behind it is accelerating.
