Since 2017, the Ministry of Commerce has used exhibition platforms such as the China Import and Export Commodity Fair (Cantonese Fair) to set up exhibition areas for special products with rural revitalization, exempt booth fees, actively expand domestic and foreign sales channels for special products, cultivate agricultural product brands, and display the achievements of business services for rural revitalization. It has been widely recognized in poverty-stricken areas. CCTV News Network conducted special reports to help the influence of rural revitalization continue to expand. In order to better adapt to the exhibition needs of poverty-stricken areas, further play the role of the Canton Fair, and promote the quality improvement and upgrading of business services for rural revitalization, the relevant matters are hereby notified as follows: 1. All trading groups are requested to strengthen guidance for exhibitors in poverty-stricken counties, grasp the exhibition needs, enhance exhibitors' awareness of the positioning of the international exhibition platform of the Canton Fair, and give priority to meeting exhibitors with export potential and international business needs, so that the exhibitors in poverty-stricken counties can be more adapted to the exhibition positioning.

4. Improve the exhibition statistics of poverty-stricken counties

Based on the statistical work of the existing rural revitalization exhibition area, the Foreign Trade Center will count the relevant data of 832 national poverty-stricken counties and 160 national key rural revitalization assistance counties in terms of commodity and region, laying a solid foundation for further analyzing and optimizing the effectiveness of the Canton Fair in serving rural revitalization.

The local commercial authorities and foreign trade centers should thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on the “three rural issues” work, improve their political stance, fully understand the importance of business serving rural revitalization, further play the role of the Canton Fair platform, continuously improve work measures to strengthen agriculture, benefit farmers and enrich farmers, and promote business services to deepen and practically serve rural revitalization.
