The reporter learned from the Guangdong Branch of the General Administration of Customs today that in the first two months of this year, the import and export of nine mainland cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was 1.29 trillion yuan, accounting for 0.3 percentage points to 96% of the total import and export value of Guangdong compared with the same period last year.
In terms of exports, the "three new" products such as lithium-ion batteries, photovoltaic products, and electric vehicles were exported a total of 22.89 billion yuan, an increase of 30.7%.
In terms of imports, the nine mainland cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area imported 464.87 billion yuan, an increase of 7.1%, accounting for 94.9% of Guangdong's overall total import value. Major imported commodities such as integrated circuits, automatic data processing equipment and their components, semiconductor manufacturing equipment grew rapidly, with an increase of 12.5%, 101.4%, and 115.4% respectively.
