This winter, ice and snow sports have become popular, turning winter leisure in the northern region into busy winter, and ice and snow venues in the southern region are also full of people. The hot ice and snow sports have brought about a fever, fun in the masses, tourism, and consumption.
Gao Zhidan said that last year, the "Several Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Stimulating the Vitality of the Ice and Snow Economy with the High-Quality Development of Ice and Snow Sports" was issued, and the top-level design of ice and snow sports and the development of ice and snow economy was carried out, releasing policy dividends. Since this ice and snow season, we have held 58 high-level international and domestic ice and snow events, including the Asian Winter Games. The cumulative passenger flow of ski resorts across the country has exceeded 190 million, an increase of 22.8% year-on-year. Among them, the passenger flow of ski resorts in the three northeastern provinces, Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang has exceeded 76 million. The average passenger flow of ski resorts in the two southern provinces in Guangdong and Sichuan ranks among the top two in the country, reaching 440,000 and 380,000 respectively. Ski enthusiasts from abroad have increased by 30.2% year-on-year. The cumulative consumption of various types in ski resorts across the country has exceeded 35 billion yuan.
Gao Zhidan introduced that in the next step, we must continue to expand the high-quality development of ice and snow sports, stimulate the good momentum of the vitality of the ice and snow economy, stabilize the basic foundation of the total scale of the ice and snow economy by one trillion yuan, and strive to reach the goal of 1.5 trillion yuan by 2030.
