Resolution of the Third Session of the 14th National People's Congress on the Work Report of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress

The Third Session of the 14th National People's Congress listened to and reviewed the work report made by Chairman Zhao Leji on the entrusted by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress. The meeting fully affirmed the work of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress in the past year, agreed to the tasks proposed in the next year in the report, and decided to approve the report.
The meeting required that the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress should, under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Second and Third Plenary Sessions of the 20th Central Committee, deeply understand the decisive significance of the "two establishments", enhance the "four consciousnesses", firm up the "four self-confidences", and achieve the "two safeguards", adhere to the organic unity of the Party's leadership, the people's mastery of their own affairs, and the rule of law, and practice the whole process. Cheng is democratic, and more fully utilizes the significant advantages of the People's Congress system, closely focus on the overall work of the Party and the country, strengthens the implementation and supervision of the Constitution, guarantees and serves reform and development with high-quality legislation, enhances the pertinence and effectiveness of supervision work, supports and guarantees representatives to perform their duties in accordance with the law, promotes the foreign exchanges of the National People's Congress, comprehensively strengthens its own construction, and continuously improves the quality and level of the National People's Congress work, and makes new contributions to the comprehensive promotion of the construction of a strong country and the great cause of national rejuvenation with Chinese modernization.
