Today (March 10), the third "Commission Channel" of the Third Session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference was held in the Great Hall of the People. Bai Ma Yuzhen, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and a first-level judge of the People's Court of Motuo County, Linzhi, Tibet, accepted an interview with reporters.
Bai Ma Yuzhen introduced that her hometown of Motuo is the last county town in the country with roads. When it comes to Motuo, the first thing that comes to mind may be the plateau island, which is poverty and backwardness. Nowadays, Motuo is full of clean and spacious hardened roads. The villagers get in and out of the car. Traveling wherever they go is no longer a dream; every household uses clean water, stable electricity, and high-speed networks, and can see a doctor and go to school at their doorstep, and the urban and rural appearance is completely renewed.
In 2024, the number of tourists entering Medog County reached 600,000, which is more than 40 times the population of the county. People now set up special homestays at home, sell local delicacies such as stone pot chicken, eat ecological tourism meals, and plant cash crops such as dendrobium, orchid, and Ganoderma lucidum in the woods.
Baima Yuzhen introduced that Motuo has realized the era transformation from the plateau island to the beautiful border town. Last year, the per capita disposable income in rural Medog reached 24,935 yuan, again exceeding the national average. It can be said that all this Motuo now has is the scene that generations of Motuo people once dreamed of, and this is just the starting point for Motuo to take off. At present, Modo is step by step building a well-connected transportation loop. I believe that in the future, Modo's development will definitely enjoy the sunshine, rain and dew like the highest Bhutanese pine in the "Tree King" forest, and it will be better every year.
