Today (March 10), the third "Committee Channel" of the Third Session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference was held in the Great Hall of the People. Chen Qingli, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Taiwan Straits League, accepted an interview with reporters.
Chen Qingli said that compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait have the same roots and bloodlines. In recent years, the mainland of the motherland has always adhered to the concept of being one family on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, and has continuously introduced a series of systems and policies to improve the welfare of compatriots in Taiwan. More and more compatriots in Taiwan have come to the mainland to develop their careers and settle down.
Chen Qingli introduced that a Taiwanese girl came to Zhejiang through the high-level talent introduction plan launched by Yuhang District, Hangzhou in 2018. She actively participated in the construction of the common prosperity demonstration zone and the practice of rural revitalization in Hangzhou, and also settled down and gave birth to a baby. There is also a Taiwanese business friend who came to Hangzhou to invest in the 1990s. He has lived in Zhejiang for 30 years and his career has also developed better and better.
Chen Qingli said that there are many Taiwanese compatriots like them in the mainland. With the in-depth implementation of policies of equal treatment and the continuous exploration of new paths of cross-strait integration and development, the policy dividends of supporting Taiwanese compatriots to come to the mainland to pursue dreams, build dreams, and realize dreams will continue to be released, and the driving force for development will be stronger. We hope that more and more Taiwanese compatriots can seize the rare development opportunities in the mainland and participate in, experience and share the thousands of atmospheres of Chinese-style modernization. We also hope that more and more Taiwanese compatriots can become builders, contributors and beneficiaries of Chinese-style modernization.
