Minister of Civil Affairs Lu Zhiyuan introduced that this year, the civil affairs and people's livelihood security will be promoted from bottom-line and basic to universal development. The protection targets will change from specific groups to more groups in need, from material protection as the main one, to material assistance, social services and spiritual care.

Employment is the greatest livelihood of the people. Wang Xiaoping, Minister of Human Resources and Social Security, introduced that judging from the situation in the first two months, enterprises have accelerated their resumption of production after the holiday, migrant workers go out earlier and move in an orderly manner, and the employment market has started well. This year, we will improve the employment priority policy, increase the overall support for various types of funds and resources, and make every effort to stabilize the total amount of employment, expand the increase in employment, and improve the quality of employment.

When answering urban renewal questions, Ni Hong, Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, shared a set of data. Since 2019, the country has started to renovate nearly 280,000 old urban communities, benefiting 120 million residents, nearly 80,000 elderly care and childcare facilities have been added, and more than 40,000 "pocket parks" have been created. This year, we will work hard to implement a number of update projects that benefit people's livelihood, promote development and prevent risks.

Lei Haichao, director of the National Health Commission, introduced that my country has more than 600,000 medical and health institutions in townships, communities and villages, and more than 5 million medical staff work at the grassroots front-line, and the capacity and level of grassroots medical and health services have been significantly improved.
