The press conference of the Third Session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference was held today (March 3). The conference spokesperson Liu Jieyi introduced the relevant situation of the conference to Chinese and foreign media and answered reporters' questions.
In terms of providing advice on performing duties, Liu Jieyi introduced that the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference focused on key and difficult issues such as promoting Chinese-style modernization, further comprehensively deepening reform, promoting high-quality development, and maintaining social harmony and stability. It organized 42 special research on major issues, held 85 consultation and political discussion activities of various types, handled more than 5,000 proposals, and submitted more than 10,000 information. The special committees give full play to their own advantages, organize members to go to villages, factories, colleges and universities, and go to communities, conduct research with the central government of democratic parties, and conduct joint consultations with local CPPCCs. Opinions and suggestions from all walks of life and grassroots are transformed into policy options to serve the decisions and policies of the Party and the government, demonstrating the important role of special consultation agencies in the national governance system.
