CCTV News: According to the State Administration for Market Regulation, the State Administration for Market Regulation recently issued a decision to abolish the group standard to the China Livestock Products Circulation Association in accordance with the law. From now on, the group standard "Technical Specifications for Cashmere Trading" (T/CAPMA 9-2025) formulated and released by the association will be abolished and announced on the standard information public service platform.

After investigation, the terms and definitions of "sheep wool" in the "Technical Specifications for the Trading of Sheep Wool" do not comply with the requirements of national standards such as "Sheep Wool" (GB 1523-2013), "Natural Fiber Terminology" (GB/T 11951-2018), and violate the relevant provisions of the "Standardization Law of the People's Republic of China". There are outstanding problems such as illegal standard content and non-compliant formulation procedures. After the "Technical Specifications for Cashmere Trading" was released, it was used by some business entities for false commercial propaganda, and carded sheep wool products were sold under the name "sheep cashmere", confusing the concepts of wool and cashmere, misleading consumers, and seriously disrupting the normal order of the industry.

Next, the State Administration for Market Regulation will continue to promote the special rectification of group standards chaos, consolidate the main responsibilities of social groups, resolutely investigate and deal with illegal activities such as the formulation of group standards beyond the scope of business stipulated in the charter, the formulation of group standards that do not meet the requirements of relevant laws and regulations and mandatory standards, the formulation process does not meet procedural requirements, and the use of compiled group standards to charge arbitrary fees. Guide social groups to carry out group standardization activities in accordance with the law and regulations, use high-quality group standards to protect consumer safety and maintain a unified market order.
