Today (September 23), reporters learned from the National Pipeline Network Group that my country’s first island-circling natural gas pipeline network, the Hainan Pipeline Network, has a cumulative gas transmission of more than 35 billion cubic meters, providing solid support for the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port and the construction of a clean energy island.
The total mileage of Hainan's island-circling pipeline network is 899 kilometers, which consists of Sanya - Dongfang, Dongfang - Yangpu - Haikou, Haikou - Wenchang, Wenchang - Qionghai - SanyaIt consists of four backbone pipelines, with 14 process stations and 42 valve chambers. It passes through 14 cities and counties including Haikou, Sanya, Danzhou, Dongfang, Wenchang and Qionghai, benefiting a population of more than 10 million, and mainly supplies gas to gas power plants, industrial users and urban gas customers.
Up to now, the Hainan island pipeline network has transported a total of more than 35 billion cubic meters of clean natural gas, which is equivalent to replacing about 46.6 million tons of coal, which is equivalent to reducing dust emissions by more than 25.4 million tons and carbon dioxide emissions by more than 51.2 million tons. It has injected strong momentum into the green and low-carbon development of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
