CCTV News (News Network): On June 17, the State Council Information Office released the white paper "Building a More Just and Reasonable Global Governance System: China's Concepts, Initiatives and Actions" and held a press conference at the same time to introduce and interpret the main contents of the white paper.
The white paper systematically elaborates on the contemporary value, rich connotation, and significance of global governance initiatives, comprehensively introduces China’s rich practices in participating in the reform and construction of the global governance system, and further clarifies China’s goals, principles, positions, and action plans on global governance.
The white paper points out that China has always been an active participant, contributor and builder of global governance.In 2025, President Xi Jinping solemnly proposed the global governance initiative, providing China's solution to the contemporary proposition of "what kind of global governance system to build and how to reform and improve global governance."Once the global governance initiative was proposed, it quickly received support and response from nearly 160 countries and international organizations.
The white paper emphasizes that to implement global governance initiatives, the most fundamental thing is to firmly safeguard the authority and status of the United Nations. The most critical thing is for major countries to show their responsibility. What is most needed is unity and cooperation among countries. The most urgent thing is to make up for the peace and development deficit.
The white paper calls on all countries to unite and cooperate to turn the vision and blueprint of global governance initiatives into a roadmap and timetable for countries to act together, and jointly open up a bright future for mankind with a shared future and civilization progress.
