CCTV News: The latest news from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs shows that the national winter rapeseed planting area reached 110 million mu this year, with the area increasing for seven consecutive years. At the same time, the varieties are constantly being updated, achieving a situation of both increase in yield and efficiency.
At the Qianmu rapeseed demonstration base in Meijiang Town, Suichuan County, Jiangxi Province, experts are conducting actual production measurements on the early-mature rapeseed variety "Central Oilfield Early 1". After accounting, the average yield per mu in the demonstration area reached 176.6 kilograms, achieving high yields.
It is understood that the breeding period of traditional rapeseed varieties is as long as 210 days, and it is difficult to adapt to the stubble problem in the southern double-season rice area, resulting in a large number of idle winter fields being idle. The new rapeseed varieties during the short-term breeding period need only about 170 days to mature, which can achieve orderly connection between early rice, late rice and rapeseed stubble, which is equivalent to "grabbing" back a round of winter crop growth time. At present, the demonstration planting area of early-mature rapeseed in Jiangxi Province exceeds 1 million mu.
Chen Lunlin, a researcher at the Institute of Crop Research, Jiangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, said: "The yield can reach more than 150 kilograms per mu. In addition to the cost, our net income per mu can reach 500 to 700 yuan."
