With the joint efforts of both China and Malaysia, in 2024, among the cross-border payment transactions transferred through the Internet Connection platform, Malaysian personnel ranked first in China in the scale of transactions, with more than 14.75 million successful transactions throughout the year, with a total amount of nearly 2.8 billion yuan, and a year-on-year growth rate of more than 3 times. Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing, Xiamen, Tianjin and Suzhou have become popular destinations for Malaysians to come to China.
