In the first quarter, the national railways launched an average of 11,266 passenger trains per day, an increase of 7.4% year-on-year.
Railway 12306 implemented various measures to increase the silver-hailed tourism trains and promote service consumption actions, carefully designed boutique tourism routes, and achieved "trains toward scenic spots", developed and put into use aging-friendly tourism trains, and created brands such as "Panda Special Train", "Yichun", "Dahe South", and "Qilu No. 1", and coordinated with hotels and scenic spots along the route to expand new tourism consumption scenarios. In the first quarter, the national railway launched a total of 187 tourist trains, an increase of 30% year-on-year, injecting new impetus into the development of the tourism economy and the silver-hailed economy. Cross-border passenger transport was carefully organized, and the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-speed Railway sent 7.291 million cross-border passengers, an increase of 10% year-on-year; the China-Laos Railway sent 85,000 cross-border passengers, an increase of 32.2% year-on-year, and drove the China-Mongolia and China-Russia international passenger trains well to promote cross-border personnel exchanges and tourism consumption.
Railway 12306 has launched new functions such as "the system automatically submits ticket purchase orders" and preferential measures for points for senior frequent passenger members, carefully organizes passengers to take flights and land, dynamically adds security checks and verification channels, 120 stations realize convenient transfers within joint ticket passenger stations, 37 stations realize no security checks for outbound subway transfers, 89 stations provide Internet meal ordering services, 99 EMU trains provide "silent carriage" services, strengthen key passenger services such as the elderly, young, sick, disabled, and pregnant, and promote and guide civilized travel, and continuously improve passenger travel experience. Actively adapt to the country's comprehensive relaxation and optimization of transit visa-free policies to provide convenience for foreign tourists' travel. In the first quarter, the national railway sent 3.662 million foreign tourists, an increase of 30% year-on-year.
