In response to the US's behavior, Tan Gong believes that the US should still take a closer look at China's previous statements.

About "reciprocal" tariffs, China has mentioned two sentences before.

The first sentence, under the current tariff level, there is no possibility of market acceptance of goods imported from the United States.

After the new US government changed its term at the beginning of the year, it imposed a so-called "reciprocal" tariff on China within less than three months. In the eyes of the US, the tariffs seem to be just a string of numbers, and it is delusional to China to compromise under high tariffs. In fact, the US shot itself in the foot, causing real big trouble.

China has been with the unreasonable provocation of the United States to the end and implemented a resolute countermeasure. Under the current circumstances, the US goods exported to China are actually no longer in the conditions to participate in competition in the Chinese market, and the responsibility for all this is entirely borne by the US government. China's firm will and tough measures undoubtedly exceeded the US's expectations and disrupted the US's position.

In fact, the US government's tariff measures selectively ignore the soaring cost of living in Americans and the difficulties of corporate production and operation, and only see a few people profit from market fluctuations.

For a long time, the need for Chinese products by American companies and consumers is the result of the market's spontaneous choice based on comparative advantages. Artificially cutting off economic and trade ties, American companies and people will undoubtedly pay real money losses. Yale University Budget Laboratory predicts that after the implementation of the so-called "reciprocal" tariffs, the increase in US personal consumption expenditure (PCE) will expand to 2.1% when other countries take countermeasures, and middle-income households in the United States will lose an average of $2,100 a year.

At the same time, CNBC, CNN and other American media reported that the US government's high tariff policies will bring "irreversible" damage to most small American businesses, and most industries lack effective alternatives. Many industry executives are calling on the US government to adjust tariff measures or provide tariff exemptions to avoid causing greater harm.

The second sentence, China will ignore the US tariff digital game. If the US insists on continuing to substantively infringe on China's interests, China will resolutely counter and stay with it to the end.

Professionals told Tan that China has long seen through the absurdity and coercive blackmail of the US tariff measures.

China's "ignoring attention" is not "no countermeasure", nor is it "expressing weakness", but its insight and contempt for the US tariff blackmail. It must be emphasized that if the US insists on continuing to substantively infringe on China's interests, China will resolutely counter and stay with it to the end.

As for the issues between China and the United States, the total economic output of China and the United States exceeds one-third of the world, and the total population accounts for nearly one-quarter of the world, making it the world's top two consumer markets. Sino-US cooperation could have provided broad opportunities and huge benefits to both countries and the world. But the US government ignored the overall situation and only wanted to use tariff blackmail to suppress China and the world, and would only isolate itself.
