CCTV News: In the first quarter, new progress has been made in the construction of a number of major water conservancy projects, and the national water conservancy infrastructure construction has achieved a good start.
As one of the 150 major water conservancy projects in the country, the water intake center pump station of the Guangdong Water Resources Allocation Project around the Beibu Gulf recently completed the filling of the cofferdam and entered the main construction stage.
The Guangdong Water Resources Allocation Project around Beibu Gulf is the cross-basin water diversion project with the largest water diversion flow, the longest water transmission line and the highest total investment in Guangdong Province. After completion, it will benefit more than 18 million people. At present, more than half of the construction tasks have been completed.
As the weather gets warmer, the construction of the North Jumahe Storage Project in Zhuozhou, Hebei Province has been stepping up to ensure that the main structure of the project is completed before this year's flood season. The total storage capacity of the project is 116 million cubic meters and the flood retention capacity is 70 million cubic meters. After completion, it will effectively improve the flood control capacity of Zhuozhou.
The Menghe Shuangkui Reservoir Project is a key project of the National "14th Five-Year Plan for Water Safety Assurance". At the construction site, hundreds of machinery and more than 200 workers are stepping up the construction of earth and rock dams and gravity dams. In the first quarter, the project has completed an investment of 680 million yuan, and the progress of the main project reached 60%.
