The Socialist Republic of Vietnam is located in the eastern part of the Indochina Peninsula, with a land area of about 330,000 square kilometers, and the capital is Hanoi.
The mountains and rivers of China and Vietnam are connected, and the lips and teeth are dependent on each other. The two countries established diplomatic relations on January 18, 1950, and traditional friendship has a long history. In December 2023, leaders of the two parties and the two countries jointly announced that they would work together to build a strategically significant community of shared future between China and Vietnam.
China is Vietnam's largest trading partner, and Vietnam is China's largest trading partner in ASEAN.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam. At the invitation of Su Lin, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Liang Qiang, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee and President Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to Vietnam from April 14 to 15.
