CCTV News: Indonesia is one of the world's major coconut producers. On April 12, my country's first fresh coconut imported from Indonesia completed customs clearance and is about to enter the domestic market.
On the afternoon of April 12, a batch of Indonesian fresh coconuts arrived at Fuzhou Changle International Airport and will be sent to a production company in Fuzhou after passing the customs quarantine. This is the first time that my country has imported it after opening quarantine access to Indonesian fresh coconuts in November 2024.
Lin Zhengrong: We have roughly arranged 10 boxes from Indonesia to Fuzhou this time. In the later stage, we will import fresh coconuts from Indonesia in a normalized and large batches, and gradually build a coconut production industry with complete upstream and downstream and comprehensive and rich product types.
Indonesia is one of the world's major coconut planting and producers, and coconut exports account for about 38% of the total global coconut exports. In recent years, the domestic market has seen a growing demand for fresh coconuts, and coconut drinks such as coconut water and raw coconut latte are selling well. In the first two months of this year, the bilateral trade volume between China and Indonesia reached 172.57 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.7%. It is understood that in the future, the two countries will carry out more cooperation around coconut-related industries.

At present, 4 production lines have been put into production in Fuzhou in the China-Indian Coconut Industrial Park.
