The reporter learned from the Ministry of Commerce that since the implementation of the home appliance trade-in policy in August last year, as of April 10, consumers have purchased more than 100 million old-for-new home appliances. This year, localities will also carry out nearly 30,000 home appliance consumption promotion activities.
Data shows that as of April 10, consumers have purchased 100.35 million old-for-new home appliances.

Since the implementation of the home appliance trade-in policy in August 2024, this year, the home appliance trade-in policy will continue to expand the types of subsidies for home appliances, increasing the number of air conditioners that can be subsidized by each person to 3, further optimizing the scope of subsidies and policy processes.

All localities have promoted the accelerated implementation of the old-for-new policy according to local conditions. Up to now, localities have organized more than 7,000 home appliance consumption promotion activities, and nearly 30,000 are planned to be carried out throughout the year.
