CCTV News: Continue the series of reports on "Welcome the Flower Season and Watch the Flower Market". Today we follow the flowers to watch logistics. 7 out of every 10 freshly cut flowers in China come from Yunnan. At present, beautiful "flower roads" are extending from here to the whole country and even the whole world. Next, let’s follow a bouquet of roses and set off from Kunming, Yunnan to Beijing to listen to her telling about the “Twelve Hours of Flowers”.

If you see a rose with beige petals and a gradient pink on the edge, this is the Aisha Rose, and I am the unique among the millions of Aisha Rose. At seven o'clock in the morning, there was a blue patch of blue on the bank of Dianchi Lake. The flower farmers had already come to the plantation to pick the roses that were about to bloom one by one. I heard the flower farmer's footsteps getting closer and closer, and when he praised me for the straight branches and the scissors "clicking" on the stems, I couldn't wait to join my sisters to prepare for the unknown journey.

We were sent to the cold storage of the planting base, which was only 5 degrees Celsius, and gusts of cold wind blew, which were cool and comfortable. Half an hour later, the workers took us to the processing workshop and arranged me and the other nine roses neatly. In this way, our "Aisha Tour Group" was formed. In order to have plenty of energy to complete the subsequent journey, we have to go back to the cold storage again and sleep for a few hours.

It was already nine o'clock in the evening when we woke up again. We sat on the cart and shuttled through the bustling flower factory in front of us. Workers pulled the carts back and forth, and various flowers such as roses, carnations, lilies and other flowers formed a "flower kingdom". I was sent to the conveyor belt, and the workers around me were finely processing the flowers. There were a few young people in front shouting to the camera, "Aisha is here", and I was also lifted from the conveyor belt.

After a string of ding-rings ended, I finally had a definite destination, which is Beijing! After some care, the workers wrapped my roots with wet cotton to ensure that I had enough water to drink during the trip.

This is a very modern logistics distribution center. Flowers from all over Kunming gather here at 2 a.m., and then take different means of transportation to their respective destinations. And I am about to take a plane and flew to Beijing after transiting in Ezhou, Hubei. When I wake up tomorrow, I can see the photographer of my master, and she must be someone who loves life.

Kunming, Yunnan: Technology empowers flower transportation and logistics costs are significantly reduced

Flowers are not resistant to squeezing and are prone to damage and corruption. How to keep the "fresh" of flowers during transportation? What new changes have been brought to the logistics industry by the hot consumption of flowers? Keep watching.

This is a flower cold chain distribution center in Chenggong District, Kunming. Flower parcels sent from Dounan Flower Market will be sorted for the final before delivery. Behind the reporter is a fully automated intelligent sorting device, which can identify the code on each parcel and then automatically divert the parcels according to the destination on the code. A device like this can identify more than 5,000 packages in an hour.

At present, Yunnan has formed a three-dimensional transportation model of "cold chain + aviation + high-speed rail" to ensure that flowers reach the domestic and foreign countries in all aspects.

The facilitation of logistics is an important factor in the daily consumption of flowers. In Yunnan, the flower industry and the logistics industry complement each other, and with the development of the flower industry, more and more logistics companies have settled in Yunnan. With the increasing maturity of cold chain transportation technology and full competition in the market, the cost of flower logistics in Yunnan has also been significantly reduced compared with a few years ago.

Kunming, Yunnan: Young entrepreneurs embark on a new "flower road" and the romantic economy blooms in a new life

The traditional flower supply chain generally involves flower farmers delivering flowers to the auction market, sending them to flower shops through wholesalers at all levels, and finally selling them to consumers in various places. Nowadays, more and more young people have entered the flower industry and have embarked on a different "flower path" from the past.

At 9 pm, Liu Yutang began the busiest moment of the day. The live broadcast room he and his two partners operated has 6 million followers, and they can sell 200,000 flowers every night. Behind the high sales volume is the support of an efficient logistics system. After three years of entrepreneurship, Liu Yutang's team opened a live broadcast room and processing plant into the logistics park.

At the same time, a flower farmer sent a full cart of flowers here for transit at a flower sorting center in Guandu District, Kunming. He introduced an online flower trading platform to the reporter. On this platform, flower farmers can upload flowers that can be sold on the day, cut the order at 5 pm every day and go to the field to harvest, and then deliver it here in a unified manner. The staff of the sorting center will pack it and send it to the downstream flower shop.

The founding partner of the platform told reporters that this platform mainly links upstream flower farmers and downstream flower shops. According to the traditional transaction process, there are 6 links between the flower farmers and the flower shops. Now this process is greatly compressed. In order to make flowers flow faster and more efficient, they also equipped with intelligent sorting centers and set up their own operating outlets in multiple cities. Data shows that in 2024, the output of fresh cut flowers in Yunnan Province reached 20.9 billion, a year-on-year increase of 9.9%. The flower industry has direct employees and more than 1 million indirect employees.
