CCTV News: On April 11, in response to the disaster weather processes such as strong winds, sandstorms, and strong convection in the central and eastern regions, the Office of the National Disaster Prevention, Reduction and Relief Committee and the Ministry of Emergency Management closely monitored the development and changes of this round of weather process, urgently activated the emergency response and linkage mechanism, strengthened consultations and judgments with meteorological, forestry and grassland and other departments, and successively reminded and dispatched key areas to do a good job in related work, guided the national comprehensive fire rescue team to remain highly alert, and work with the National Food and Reserve Bureau to prepare for the allocation of central disaster relief materials. The National Forestry Defense Command Office has upgraded the emergency response to forest and grassland fires from level 4 to level 3, and the Ministry of Emergency Management has launched a strong convective weather warning response to 13 provinces including Hubei and Hunan.
