Because it is located in the hinterland of Daba Mountain, the terrain is complex and the construction is difficult. After the completion and opening of the West-Chongqing High-speed Railway, the travel time from Xi'an to Chongqing will be shortened by 3.5 hours.

It is currently the largest span single-column three-tower space cable suspension bridge under construction in the world.
