VAT invoice data shows that in the first quarter, manufacturing sales revenue increased by 4.8% year-on-year, accounting for 29.1% of the national sales, an increase of 0.8 percentage points from the same period last year, providing important support for the sustained economic growth. Among them, the sales revenue of the equipment manufacturing industry increased by 9.7% year-on-year, maintaining rapid growth.
At the same time, innovation momentum continues to accumulate. In the first quarter, my country's sales revenue of high-tech industries increased by 13.4% year-on-year, continuing its rapid growth momentum. With my country's breakthroughs and applications in the field of artificial intelligence, sales revenue of scientific research and technology services and information technology services have maintained double-digit growth.
Driven by consumption during the Spring Festival holiday, service consumption increased by 5.3% year-on-year in the first quarter. Among them, the sales revenue of scenic spot management and travel agency services increased by 40.5% and 15.5% year-on-year respectively; the sales revenue of film screenings and literary and artistic creation and performance increased by 39.6% and 15.2% year-on-year respectively, reflecting the continuous increase in cultural consumption demand.
The effect of the "two new" policy continues to be released. In the first quarter, the amount of machinery and equipment purchased by enterprises nationwide increased by 11% year-on-year, reflecting the continuous expansion of demand for enterprise equipment updates and intelligent transformations. At the same time, consumption vitality is also continuing to increase. The retail growth rate of daily household appliances such as TVs and refrigerators has reached about 30%, and the retail growth rate of newly expanded mobile phones and other communication equipment has reached 27.3%.
