According to preliminary statistics, as of 3 a.m. on the 9th, the fire killed 20 people. At present, other elderly people in the nursing home have been transferred to nearby hospitals for further observation treatment. Expert groups at Hebei Province and Chengde City have gone to the place where the accident occurred to guide the rescue and aftermath work, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
