Xinhua News Agency, Guangzhou, April 7 (Reporter Wang Haoming) On April 6, the number of vehicles entering and leaving the Zhuhai Highway Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge exceeded 26,000 for the first time, reaching 26,400, this year, setting a record for the third time. This was learned by the reporter from the border inspection station of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge on the 7th.

Data shows that during the Qingming Festival holiday from April 4 to 6, there were more than 365,000 passengers entering and leaving the Zhuhai Highway Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, and more than 75,000 vehicles, an increase of 34% and 39% year-on-year, setting a record high in the same period. The total number of Hong Kong-Macao single-licensed vehicles inspected exceeded 55,000 vehicles, an increase of 47% year-on-year; the number of mainland passengers entering and leaving the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge with Hong Kong-Macao Tourism Visa reached 49,000, an increase of 33% over the same period last year.

The relevant person in charge of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Border Inspection Station introduced that in order to properly respond to the peak passenger flow at the port during the Qingming Festival, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Border Inspection Station was deployed in advance, using big data to strengthen passenger flow monitoring, strengthen coordination and linkage with the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge entry and exit management departments, and open inspection channels in a timely and full manner during peak hours.
