CCTV News: According to the Ministry of Emergency Management, on April 5, the China International Rescue Team, together with the Chinese Rescue Team and the Hong Kong Rescue Team of China, continued to carry out free medical consultations at the resettlement sites of the affected people in Mandalay City, and sent more than 20 professional medical experts and nurses such as internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, and psychological inquiries, carrying electrocardiogram machines, portable X-ray machines, handheld ultrasound machines and other examination equipment to conduct routine examination services such as blood pressure measurement, hematuria and stool tests, X-rays and ultrasound for the people who came to the hospital, and distributed common medicines for free, with more than 180 people receiving treatment and 59 assisted examinations and tests. Up to now, the Chinese rescue team and the China International rescue team have sent 8 structural engineering experts to conduct post-earthquake safety emergency assessments for more than 800 local buildings and infrastructure, and have given suggestions for repair and reinforcement.
