Recently, according to the Shanxi Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, in order to strictly implement the national Yellow River fishing ban system, continue to protect Shanxi Province's aquatic biological resources, protect biodiversity, improve the ecological environment of the waters, and help the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin, according to relevant laws and regulations and relevant requirements of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Shanxi section of the Yellow River entered the fishing ban period from April 1 to July 31. The Shanxi section of the main stream of the Yellow River, the main stream of the Fen River, and the main stream sections of the Qin River and the main stream sections of the first-level tributaries are stipulated as fishing prohibited areas.
During the fishing ban period, all types of fishing except recreational fishing are prohibited in the fishing ban area, and the purchase, transportation, storage, and sale of illegally caught catches are prohibited. If natural fishery resources are harvested in fishing areas due to special needs such as teaching and research, domestication and breeding, and special fishing activities must be approved by the Shanxi Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
Fishing and fishery administration departments at all levels and comprehensive agricultural law enforcement agencies will jointly carry out joint law enforcement with the public security, natural resources, market supervision and other departments to severely crack down on all kinds of illegal acts that violate the provisions of fishing ban areas during the fishing ban period. If a crime is constituted, it will be transferred to the public security department for criminal liability in accordance with the law.
