CCTV News: During the Qingming Festival, Beijing Port ushered in a peak inbound and outbound passenger flow. In order to ensure the efficiency of port customs clearance, the Beijing Border Inspection General Station has taken a number of measures to make every effort to ensure smooth and orderly customs clearance for passengers.

On the first day of this year's Qingming Festival, the number of people entering and leaving the Beijing port reached more than 53,000, an increase of 32% year-on-year. Among them, nearly 9,000 foreigners entered the country, an increase of 51% year-on-year. According to the Beijing Border Inspection General Station, from April 4 to 6, the number of inbound and outbound personnel at Beijing port will reach 160,000.

In order to allow passengers to experience the convenience and beauty of traveling in China at the first stop of entry, the Beijing Border Inspection General Station actively improves supporting measures to continuously improve passenger customs clearance efficiency and customs clearance experience. Optimize the issuance process of temporary entry permits, add inspection channels and waiting areas, promote airlines to use electronic boarding passes to clear and trial the self-service printing of foreign entry cards.

Beijing: Inbound tourism has a clear growth momentum and cultural and tourism products are diversified

With the implementation of a series of immigration management policies such as the 240-hour transit visa-free policy, the inbound and outbound passenger flow at Beijing ports has increased significantly. As of March 31, Beijing Port has handled a total of 584,000 foreigners entering this year, issuing 240-hour transit visa-free visas to nearly 18,000 foreign tourists who meet the entry requirements, an increase of 13.8% year-on-year compared with the previous policy release. Among the foreigners entering this country, tourism, business, and relatives are the main ones.
