General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that a promising nation cannot be without heroes, and a promising country cannot be without pioneers. During this Qingming Festival, all regions commemorate the revolutionary heroes in various ways, inherit the great spirit, continue the red bloodline, and gather tremendous strength to forge ahead for the construction of a strong country and national rejuvenation.

I remember the heroes in Qingming Festival, and the torch is passed down from generation to generation. In the Jinggangshan Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery, people present flower baskets to revolutionary heroes to express their deep remembrance for them.

In 2016, General Secretary Xi Jinping came to Jinggangshan and said affectionately that we should express our highest respect to the revolutionary martyrs. We will always miss them, remember them in mind, and inherit their red genes well.

From Jinggangshan, Jiangxi to Zunyi, Guizhou, from Yan'an, Shaanxi to Xibaipo, Hebei, since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping's footsteps of paying tribute to heroes and commemorating heroes have spread all over the country. The General Secretary has taken action to lead the whole Party and society to respect, defend, learn from and care for heroes.

This year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. All parts of the country commemorate heroes and draw on their efforts to move forward through various forms. At the Liulaozhuanglian Memorial Park of the New Fourth Army in Huai'an, Jiangsu Province, teachers and students held flowers in their hands to pay tribute to the heroes. In Shenyang, Liaoning, people walked into the "September 18th" History Museum and presented flower baskets and bouquets to the cemetery.

Remember the history of the Anti-Japanese War and carry forward the great spirit of the Anti-Japanese War. In Weihai, Shandong, people walked into the Mashishan Ten Warriors Memorial Hall to listen to the heroic story of the Ten Warriors who died fearlessly in order to cover the masses' breakthrough; in Huizhou, Guangdong, veteran descendants came to the Dongjiang Column Memorial Hall to deeply commemorate and recall the heroic deeds of their ancestors; in Lingqiu County, Datong, Shanxi, historical photos and precious cultural relics in the Pingxingguan Victory Memorial Hall tell people the first major victory achieved by the Chinese army in the proactive war against Japan after the outbreak of the national war of resistance.

Gather the strength to forge ahead with a great spirit. At the Martyrs Cemetery in the capital of Hubei, Henan and Anhui Soviet Area, Xinxian County, Henan, people pay homage to the martyrs Memorial Wall Monument and inherit the spirit of Dabie Mountain; in Changsha, Hunan, people go to the Lei Feng Memorial Hall to learn advanced deeds, and inherit and carry forward the Lei Feng spirit; at the Dongfeng Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery, more than 900 people, including scientific and technological workers and young student representatives, held a memorial service to appreciate the spirit of the "two bombs and one satellite" and pay tribute to the pioneers of aerospace.

The best memory of heroes is to push the career they have pioneered forward. In the exhibition hall of Zhang Fuqing's advanced deeds in Laifeng County, Hubei, people remembered his revolutionary sentiment of selfless dedication and dedicated service to the people; in Tashkurgan Tajik Autonomous County, Xinjiang, cadres and people of all ethnic groups paid tribute to the "model of the times" Razini Bayika, "model of the times", and learned his excellent qualities of self-sacrificing oneself to save others and being brave and fearless.

Remember in mind the original aspiration and forge ahead, from the front line of rural revitalization to the frontier of reform and opening up, people firmly uphold ideals and beliefs in commemorating heroes and create new great achievements in continuous struggle.
