The latest data from the Ministry of Transport shows that during the three days of the holiday, it is estimated that the cross-regional flow of people in the whole society will be about 790 million, with an average daily average of about 264 million, an increase of 7.1% over the same period last year, setting a new high in travel during the Qingming Festival holiday. On the first day of the holiday, the number of railway passengers nationwide reached 20.093 million, setting a new record for the single-day passenger traffic since this year.
This year's Qingming Festival holiday, the weather in many places across the country was sunny, and the flow of highway personnel increased significantly, with self-driving travel accounting for more than 90%; silver trains and tourism special trains were intensively launched; civil aviation and water passenger volume increased by more than 10% year-on-year compared with last year.
On the last day of the holiday, the bus systems in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and other places extended the subway and bus operation time connected to the station and airport to ensure that passengers return smoothly. The Ministry of Transport reminds that the deadline for free access to highways with passenger cars below seven seats is 24:00 p.m. on April 6.
