Data released by the Ministry of Water Resources recently showed that since the 14th Five-Year Plan, my country has completed the construction of 425 large and medium-sized reservoir safety monitoring facilities, the construction of more than 51,000 small reservoir dam safety monitoring facilities, and the construction of more than 57,000 rainwater situation measurement and reporting facilities.
Implementing the construction of reservoir monitoring facilities is an important measure to improve the reservoir's rainwater conditions and industrial conditions monitoring and early warning capabilities. In addition to implementing the construction of reservoir monitoring facilities on a large scale, the Ministry of Water Resources has also steadily promoted the construction of reservoir monitoring facilities in recent years, focusing on strengthening the application of monitoring information and improving the standard system of reservoir monitoring systems.
A relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Water Resources said that in the next step, we will guide all localities to finish the construction of small reservoir monitoring facilities in the "14th Five-Year Plan" to achieve full coverage of rainwater surveying facilities and all dam safety monitoring facilities should be set up; organize the preparation of the "15th Five-Year Plan" large and medium-sized reservoir safety monitoring implementation plan to comprehensively promote the improvement of the national safety monitoring capabilities of large and medium-sized reservoirs.
