"Before the Spring Festival, I participated in the 'going overseas' exhibition group organized by the town and received a batch of orders. Recently, we took the initiative to go out for inspection to explore new markets." Zhou Xinliang introduced to reporters while walking.
Followed Zhou Xinliang to enter the company's production workshop, the carpet weaving machines rumbled, and the workers worked hard, and piles of finished carpets were stamped and packed, ready to be shipped to all parts of the world. Zhou Xinliang said that since last winter, carpet production has entered the peak season, and orders from home and abroad will be fully scheduled in the first quarter.
Zhou Xinliang made a rough calculation and said that the "good start" in the first quarter was sure of the plan, and the potential in the second quarter still needs to be explored.
"After completing the existing orders, we must prepare for the Canton Fair quickly." Zhou Xinliang told reporters that the Canton Fair is an important economic and trade "window". As an outward-oriented enterprise, we must prepare in advance, develop new products and layout new businesses, and set the tone for the business development throughout the year.

Cui Huangkou Town has a history of carpet production for more than a hundred years. It is as famous as Dalton in the United States and Gaziantep in Turkey. It is known as the three major gathering areas of the world's carpet industry. There is a "Weaving Palace - Cuihuangkou International Carpet Culture Exhibition Hall" in the center of the town, which records the development history of the carpet in Cuihuangkou Town and also makes up for the gap in the special exhibition halls in the carpet field in China.
Haw Fu, a consultant at the "Palace Weaving and Tuning", showed the reporter the first process of handmade wool wool carpet - cutting the carpet: on a warp head composed of two warp threads in the front and back, the corresponding wool yarn is shaped in a "8" shape according to the pattern and cut it hard... "It will take more than three years for a carpet weaving worker to go to the army." Huo Fu said.
As technology continues to improve, carpets have been greatly improved from pure handmade to sewing machine tying to 3D printing. In the production workshop of Tianjin Anzhi Jinlin Carpet Co., Ltd., accompanied by the roar of machines, carpets with exquisite patterns were removed from the line one after another. Chen Fanglin, general manager of the company, told reporters that each worker could only weave one carpet every day, but now he works fully automatic mechanized and weave one carpet in an average of seconds.
Now, Chen Fanglin's carpet factory has grown from the initial dozens to nearly 200 people, and the factory area has also expanded from the original 10 acres of land to 120 acres. The types of carpets include imitation fur, imitation cashmere, and crystal velvet... They are widely popular among customers.

For decades, under the leadership of a group of pioneers such as Zhou Xinliang and Chen Fanglin, Cui Huangkou Town's carpet has become famous and has gone abroad.
Gong Jianxing, deputy mayor of Cui Huangkou Town, introduced that there are currently more than 1,200 carpet enterprises in the town, with an annual carpet production of over 100 million pieces, and exports account for 40% of the country and 80% of Tianjin. About 25,000 people in Cuihuangkou Town are engaged in carpet production, accounting for about half of the town’s population. The “one town, one industry” is truly worthy of its name, forming the advantages of full-chain agglomeration such as pattern design, raw material distribution, processing and manufacturing, logistics and warehousing.
In order to transform domestic industrial aggregation advantages into overseas competitive advantages, Cui Huangkou Town often organizes enterprises to participate in large-scale domestic and foreign exhibitions to achieve "grouping to go overseas". On the eve of the Spring Festival, more than 10 carpet companies in Cuihuangkou Town went to Türkiye and Germany to attend the exhibition, and reached a total of US$10 million in intended orders. After the Spring Festival, Cui Huangkou Town organized symposiums for private enterprises and cross-border e-commerce exchange meetings to provide assistance to enterprises.
At the same time, the transformation from a carpet production center to a consumption center is a new task facing Cui Huangkou Town.
In November 2024, the "Weaving Palace - Life Aesthetics Museum" opened, especially adding consumption functions. "In the past, Cui Huangkou carpets were very well-known overseas, but they did not attract much attention from domestic consumers." Huo Fu said that after the opening of the Life Aesthetics Pavilion, it attracted consumers and merchants from all over the country to visit and reached many cooperation intentions.

Faced with the trend of integrated development of production and consumption, many enterprises in Cuihuangkou Town have started new businesses. Chen Yong, general manager of Tianjin Shilang Carpet Co., Ltd., has tasted the sweetness: "Enterprises are no longer limited to export trade, but also buy carpets from all over the world, and provide customized production services to domestic consumers through e-commerce, achieving 'buy globally and sell nationwide'."
A survey of 865 carpet companies in the town showed that 475 companies conducting e-commerce channels for carpet sales, accounting for about 54.9%. E-commerce has played an important role in promoting regional economic development, driving rural revitalization, and increasing farmers' industrial income.
Zhang Hongying, Party Secretary of Cui Huangkou Town, said that Cui Huangkou Town will rely on the carpet industry, introduce professional teams, explore market-oriented operations, further broaden cross-border e-commerce channels, accelerate the development of digital trade, enhance the reputation and influence of Cui Huangkou Carpet in the domestic and foreign markets, gather talents through production and culture to develop businesses, promote the integration and gather high-quality resources, and use industrial revitalization to help the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas.
