CCTV News: At present, spring farming in various places has been fully launched from south to north, and localities have ensured smooth circulation and promoted circulation, and taken multiple measures to ensure sufficient supply of fertilizers during spring farming.
Shandong Yantai is an important channel and distribution center for import and export of fertilizers in the country. With the arrival of the peak season for fertilizer demand, Yantai Port, Shandong Port has opened a green channel for fertilizer discharge to improve fertilizer operation efficiency. According to statistics, since 2025, Yantai Port has completed a total fertilizer throughput of 251,000 tons.
Lian Pengfei, deputy director of the Marketing and Business Center of Shandong Port Yantai Port United General Terminal Company, introduced that fertilizers mainly serve the regions in Shandong Province, Hebei and Northeast China, and can meet the transit volume of more than 3,000 tons to more than 5,000 tons per day. Regarding the demand for fertilizer materials, priority will be given to arrangement, transportation, organization, and loading and unloading, so as to effectively ensure the demand for fertilizers and agricultural materials during spring plowing.
In the Cangzhou National Fertilizer Reserve Bank of Hebei, Zhongnong Group, the special agricultural supplies line here is operating in an orderly manner. Through measures such as integrating county warehousing resources and opening green channels, enterprises have achieved 48-hour precise delivery in 147 townships and more than 3,200 administrative villages in the city.
As the main channel for the circulation of agricultural inputs in my country, the national supply and marketing cooperative system actively purchases and transports to meet the needs of spring farming fertilizers. The nearly 10 million tons of national and provincial reserve fertilizers borne by agricultural input enterprises in the entire system have been in place.
Cheng Xiaolin, deputy director of the Agricultural Materials and Cotton and Lines Bureau of the China National Supply and Marketing Cooperative, introduced that as of the end of January 2025, the supply and marketing cooperative system had 22.84 million tons of fertilizers, an increase of 15.6% year-on-year. From February to April 2025, it is planned to purchase about 27 million tons of arrived fertilizer, which can meet 70% of the national spring farming fertilizer demand.
