National Bureau of Statistics: The added value of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 5.9% from January to February

CCTV News: According to the National Bureau of Statistics on March 17, from January to February, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 5.9% year-on-year (the growth rate of added value is the actual growth rate deducting price factors). From a month-on-month perspective, in February, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 0.51% compared with the previous month.

From three categories, from January to February, the added value of the mining industry increased by 4.3% year-on-year, the manufacturing industry increased by 6.9%, and the electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply industry increased by 1.1%.

By economic type, from January to February, the added value of state-owned controlled enterprises increased by 3.7% year-on-year; joint-stock enterprises increased by 6.6%, foreign-invested enterprises increased by 3.2%; private enterprises increased by 6.7%.

By industry perspective, from January to February, 36 of the 41 major industries maintained year-on-year growth. Among them, the coal mining and washing industry grew by 5.4%, the oil and gas mining industry grew by 0.9%, the agricultural and sideline food processing industry grew by 8.3%, the wine, beverage and refined tea manufacturing industry grew by 3.9%, the textile industry grew by 7.0%, the chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry grew by 9.5%, the non-metallic mineral products industry fell by 2.1%, the ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry grew by 5.7%, the non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry grew by 6.6%, the general equipment manufacturing industry grew by 9.5%, the special equipment manufacturing industry grew by 3.8%, the automobile manufacturing industry grew by 12.0%, the railway, ship, aerospace and other transportation equipment manufacturing industry grew by 20.8%, the electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry grew by 12.0%, the computer, communications and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry grew by 10.6%, and the electricity, heat production and supply industry grew by 0.8%.

In terms of products, from January to February, the output of 378 of the 623 products of large-scale industries increased year-on-year. Among them, steel was 224.09 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.7%; cement was 170.99 million tons, a decrease of 5.7%; ten non-ferrous metals were 12.94 million tons, a increase of 1.4%; ethylene was 6.58 million tons, a increase of 17.6%; automobiles were 4.454 million, a increase of 13.9%, of which 1.817 million new energy vehicles were 47.7%; power generation was 1.492.1 billion kWh, a decrease of 1.3%; crude oil processing volume was 119.17 million tons, a increase of 2.1%.

From January to February, the product sales rate of industrial enterprises above designated size was 95.5%, a year-on-year decrease of 0.6 percentage points; industrial enterprises above designated size achieved an export delivery value of 227.51 billion yuan, a nominal increase of 6.2% year-on-year.
