CCTV News: According to the website of the National Bureau of Statistics, the National Bureau of Statistics released the energy production situation from January to February 2025 on the 17th.
From January to February, the growth rate of raw coal and natural gas production in large-scale industries (hereinafter referred to as above-scale industries) accelerated, and crude oil and electricity production was basically stable.
1. Raw coal, crude oil and natural gas production and related situations
The growth rate of raw coal production is accelerating. From January to February, the production of industrial raw coal above the designated size was 770 million tons, an increase of 7.7% year-on-year, a growth rate of 3.5 percentage points faster than in December last year; the average daily output was 12.97 million tons.

Crude oil production is basically stable. From January to February, the production of industrial crude oil above designated size was 35.04 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 0.2%; the average daily output was 594,000 tons.
The growth rate of crude oil processing is accelerating. From January to February, the above-scale industrial crude oil processing volume was 119.17 million tons, an increase of 2.1% year-on-year, an increase of 1.5 percentage points faster than in December last year; the average daily processing was 2.02 million tons.

Natural gas production has grown steadily. From January to February, the production of industrial natural gas above designated size was 43.3 billion cubic meters, an increase of 3.7% year-on-year, a growth rate of 0.1 percentage point faster than in December last year; the average daily output was 730 million cubic meters.
2. Electricity production situation
Industrial power production above the standard has slightly declined. From January to February, the above-scale industrial power generation was 149.21 billion kWh, a year-on-year decrease of 1.3%; the average daily power generation was 25.29 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 0.4%.
By variety, from January to February, the growth rate of industrial wind power above designated size accelerated, the growth rate of hydropower, nuclear power and solar power generation slowed down, and the decline in thermal power increased. Among them, industrial thermal power above the designated size decreased by 5.8% year-on-year, an increase of 3.2 percentage points from December last year; industrial hydropower above the designated size increased by 4.5%, a slowdown of 1.0 percentage points; industrial nuclear power above the designated size increased by 7.7%, a slowdown of 3.7 percentage points; industrial wind power above the designated size increased by 10.4%, a speedup of 3.8 percentage points; industrial solar power above the designated size increased by 27.4%, a slowdown of 1.1 percentage points.
