CCTV News: According to the "China Railway", starting from April 1, China Railway Group will implement greater points discounts for elderly frequent travelers who are over 60 years old with resident ID cards, Hong Kong and Macao residents' residence permits, Taiwan residents' residence permits, Hong Kong and Macao residents' mainland passes, Taiwan residents' mainland passes, and foreign permanent residence ID cards. Points can be redeemed for train tickets, which will better meet the elderly's yearning for a better travel life, help more elderly people pursue "poetry and distant places", further stimulate the potential of the elderly consumer market, and inject new impetus into promoting the development of the silver economy and expanding service consumption.

At present, railway frequent passenger members can receive 5 times the face value after purchasing tickets. The points can be redeemed for train tickets by themselves or designated transferees. 100 points can be used when redeeming the train tickets. The redeemed tickets can be changed once and points can be collected as a redeem fee. Ticket refunds or changes to the station are not allowed. Starting from April 1, frequent passenger members over 60 years of age will receive 15 times the face value when taking passenger trains (not including tourist trains and international trains), which is equivalent to 3 times the average passenger member. That is, spending 1,000 yuan to take the train, you can receive 15,000 points, and you can use it when redeeming the train tickets.
