CCTV News: On March 15, the first large unmanned transport aircraft with a load capacity of 1 ton developed in accordance with airworthiness standards in China successfully flew for the first time in Shandong.

On the morning of March 15, the large unmanned transport aircraft TP1000 developed by Yantai, Shandong in accordance with the airworthiness standards for China's large-scale civil aviation cargo drone, successfully flew for the first time in Shandong.

TP1000 takes off weight 3.3 tons, load capacity 1,000 kilograms, and has a full load range of 1,000 kilometers. Compared with the previous TP500, it has the characteristics of a larger load capacity and a longer range. The two will form a high and low-end large-scale freight drone product portfolio to meet the rapidly developing low-altitude cargo needs. At the same time, TP1000 also has intelligent airdrop function, which can better serve emergency rescue and disaster relief.

Jin Ge, head of the R&D team of TP1000, introduced that the total time of the first flight was 26 minutes, the flight status was stable, and the data performed well, achieving the ideal goal.

It is understood that TP1000 will be put into operation in 2026.
