CCTV News: In order to solve the problems of "not finding, not seeing clearly, and not easy to calculate" in the production date and shelf life that consumers strongly reflect, further standardize food labeling, strengthen food labeling supervision and management, and protect consumers' legitimate rights and interests, the State Administration for Market Regulation will soon issue the "Food Label Supervision and Management Measures".
The Measures insist on thinking and solving problems from the perspective of consumers, requiring that the marking positions of the food production date and shelf life expiration date are clearer and more obvious, making it easier to "find"; requiring that the production date and shelf life expiration date be marked in larger fonts for easier "reading"; requiring that the shelf life expiration date be marked directly in the order of year, month and day to facilitate the knowledge of the consumption period.
